FAQ

For the hike to South Section 2 of Central Mountains Trail and Sinkang Trail, etc., how can I apply for the “Jiaming Lake Campground” of Taitung Forest District Office?

Modifiers Date:2019-12-05 Released By:Yushan National Park Headquarters

Starting from August 1st of 2019, visitors can choose to stay at Jiaming Lake Campground of Taitung Forest District Office for hiking to the South Section 2 of Central Mountains Trail, Sinkang Trail, and Mabolasih Trail, etc., in Yushan National Park, same as applying for the park entry permit for going to the open routes (long-distance hiking).

“Jiaming Lake Campground” locates outside of Yushan National Park, and is next to the Jiaming Lake Cabin, instead of Jiaming Lake. 4 out of 6 camping slots could be reserved while applying for the park entry permit to the restricted area inside Yushan National Park (number 1~4, each slot could accommodate 1~6 people). The park entry permit will be approved after the slots of “Jiaming Lake Campground” of Taitung Forest District Office and other campsites inside Yushan National Park are confirmed and the payment for staying at Jiaming Lake Campground has been made.
