There’s still snow on the part of trail further than the main peak - south peak intersection. The low temperature in the early morning makes the trail icy and slippery. Thus, for visitors who plan to hike Yushan Trail, it is necessary to have solid competence using gear for hiking in the snow and bring it when entering the park, particularly crampons, ice axes, and helmets. It is suggested for those who don’t have the equipment or don’t know how to use the equipment to check the snow update before heading to the park. For your hiking safety, please follow the on-site instructions and be cautious when hiking in the snow.

There are risks of slipping/falling on snow, getting lost in the snow, high altitude illness and hypothermia, etc. Therefore, please evaluate carefully the risks, the fitness level and skills of group members, weather forecast, and latest snow updates. If it’s difficult or dangerous, please do not attempt to pass. Safety is first!

(Visitors going to the areas above 3000m in the park need to pay attention when passing icy or slippery trail and bring necessary gear in order to ensure the hiking safety.)
