Paiyun Lodge Snow Updates
Be cautious when passing by the trail with snow from Paiyun Lodge.
Date: March 20, 2019
The ice/snow from the windy section of cliff path to the summit has been cleaned on 19 March 2019 by the staffs sent by Paiyun Mountaineering Center. Yet, since the temperature of the coming week will still be around 0o C, it is still essential to bring enough clothes and beware of the icy and slippery trail, especially when you hike in the early morning. The visitors with park permit, we kindly remind you to check the forecast of the Central Weather Bureau. If it snows, it is required to have solid competence using gear for hiking in the snow and bring it when entering the park, particularly crampons and helmets. It is suggested for those who don’t have the equipment or don’t know how to use the equipment to check the snow update before heading to the park. If it’s difficult or dangerous, please do not attempt to pass. Safety is first! The staffs at Paiyun Mountaineering Center will check the equipment of the visitors at the trailhead and at Paiyun Lodge. For your safety, please follow the on-site instructions and beware of the weather change.
Please note that it is hikers’ responsibility to hike safely.
(Visitors going to the areas above 3000m in the park need to pay attention when passing icy or slippery trail and bring necessary gear in order to ensure the hiking safety.)
